The Cedarmore Corporation is a 501 (c) 3 community-based institution founded in 1996 by Bishop Frank 0.White that provides comprehensive services to underserved communities on Long Island. The organization’s mission is to form a cooperative of quality programs to improve the educational, social and emotional development of youth representing a diverse population of families from Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Cedarmore programs always focus on the most relevant issues of our times including literacy, nutrition, abstinence, employment and work ethic for youth as well as decision-making. Currently, the Cedarmore corporation now operates 5 key programs including: Afterschool Enrichment, Ready, Set, kNOw, Big Brothers Basketball Association (including Readers Become Leaders), Young Entrepreneurs Training Program as well as its most recently – Freeport Farmers Market.

The mission of The Cedarmore Corporation is to improve the educational, social and emotional development of youth representing the diverse population of families from Nassau and Suffolk counties. To educate, elevate and, motivate others in order for them to achieve healthy productive lives. We seek to address the most critical needs in our communities by adhering to four foundational elements.

Our History
The Cedarmore Corporation is a community based, non-profit organization founded in 1996 by Bishop Frank O. White. The organization began as a series of summer Basketball Tournaments designed to create a safe haven for Youth, keeping them off the streets and away from the rising gang activity in Freeport and the surrounding communities.
For nearly 18 years, Cedarmore has been active creating an evolving portfolio of programs that focuses on the most relevant issues affecting today’s youth including education, financial literacy, positive self-image, academic achievement and leadership.

Since its inception, Cedarmore Youth Services has provided a wholesome, structured environment that has enriched the lives of more than 10,000 youth and their families.
