The Bishop Frank O. White Digital Literacy Center (BFOWDLC), launched in 2021, provides youth ages 8–18 and families across Long Island with access to high‑quality, affordable STEM education. Created to address the persistent resource and opportunity gaps facing youth of color, the BFOWDLC equips students with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to pursue emerging pathways in technology and innovation.
Through hands‑on workshops and project‑based learning, participants explore key sectors of STEM—including computer coding, robotics, programming, software development, AI literacy, and digital creativity. All sessions are led by experienced professionals and industry leaders from organizations such as AT&T, Google, Microsoft, and other top technology companies.
The BFOWDLC is committed to expanding digital access, fostering early career exploration, and preparing the next generation of innovators, problem‑solvers, and creators.
