The Cedarmore Corporation was founded in 1996 to provide accessible, comprehensive, and culturally relevant programs for youth in the Long Island region. Cedarmore was created in response to the racial and socioeconomic divide that exists in Long Island, which often barred youth from engaging in structured after-school programs. The organization was developed to close the resource gap that is prevalent in the Long Island community. Programs housed under Cedarmore are designed to address three critical areas of development: academic, social-emotional, and physical wellness.
